“We were delighted to have Richard on board, providing photography cover for Durham Fringe Festival 2024. Richard was superb to work with, and his photography captured the spirit and essence of the festival, and of Durham City.
He delivered above and beyond our brief, and has excellent people skills - all important in this role. Richard was very responsive and was able to turn images around very swiftly so we could use them across our social media channels. He has such a positive way of working, and brings a 'can do' approach to the job.
We had some great feedback from the wider volunteer team, and the artists and performers whose shows he covered. We would not hesitate to recommend him.”
Sally, Durham Fringe CIC, 2024
“Richard is an excellent communicator, creative collaborator and teacher. He is incredibly versatile and is able to share his photographic skills and knowledge with a wide range of audiences and inspire them to find their own interests or voice about how they see the world through the medium of photography.
I have worked with Richard for the last two years and have found the experience incredibly positive, fun and inspiring. I am looking forward to more collaborations in the future.”
Lucy, The Ridge SCIO, Dunbar, 2024
“Richard has done some outstanding work for the St Abbs Independent Lifeboat. Imagery is extremely important to us for communicating who we are, how we do our work and ultimately how we fundraise to support our life saving service. Richard has delivered some exceptional images which have captured the character of our crew, boat and station and we have used these in fundraising merchandise and on our website.
Most recently he has recorded some audio interviews for us for our historical archive which means that the memories of some of our longstanding crew are documented for all to share. We value our close working relationship with Richard and we are very grateful to him for all the work he has done for us.”
Ruth, St Abbs Lifeboat, St Abbs, 2024
